Bath Spa Capital uses a select list of standard references in our descriptions. Reference works from a variety of publications have been printed to cover just about every area of numismatics, each work often attempts to document each known type of a particular coin or a country’s currencies in their entirety, some with more success than others. For example, a publication attempting to reference a country’s currency in its entirety will usually not have as many entries or varieties of a particular type as a specialist work focusing on one period or currency type.
At the end of a description there will usually be a code (ie. S. BQ2), this code refers to a specific entry within a specific publication. This list represents the industry standard references we use.
